Mayor Firhad Hakim, in the corporation's monthly meeting, assured that Kolkata will not face any water shortage this summer. He highlighted that several projects are underway to provide millions of gallons of water, with a complete drinking water supply system being set up in areas like Gardner's, Dhapa, and others. Additionally, Hakim mentioned that the process of purifying groundwater for use is being expedited to ensure a steady supply.
