A scooter theft reported on April 25 in New Town has been solved with the arrest of Rahul Mishra, a resident of Kankurgachi. According to police, the complaint was lodged by Swayam Saw, a Howrah resident, at Techno City Police Station. He had travelled to New Town to appear for a job test at a private company and parked his scooter outside the office premises, leaving the keys in the vehicle.
Upon exiting the office, Saw found the scooter missing and immediately informed police. Officers began an investigation and reviewed CCTV footage from the surrounding area, where they spotted a man leaving with the vehicle. The footage helped identify the accused as Rahul Mishra.
Based on the evidence, police located and arrested Mishra from the Kankurgachi area. The stolen scooter was recovered. Police have confirmed the sequence of events and stated that further legal proceedings are underway.
