The police of Khoribari police station in Siliguri have seized 175 kg of ganja from two vehicles. At the same time, two smugglers were arrested for smuggling ganja. The names of the arrested smugglers are Hamidul Haque and Nabi Hussain. Both are residents of Dinhata in Cooch Behar.
According to sources, the police of Khoribari police station conducted a campaign in the Banchawita area of Khoribari late on Wednesday night based on secret information and searched the vehicles. During this, 175 kg of ganja was recovered from two cars.
According to police sources, there was a plan to smuggle ganja from Cooch Behar to Bihar. The estimated market value of the recovered ganja is around 20 lakh rupees. The police of the Khoribari police station have started further action.
