Hours after India’s precision strikes under Operation Sindoor on terror camps in Pakistan and PoK, a bomb threat was reported on an IndiGo flight at Mumbai’s Sahar Airport early Wednesday. The threat, made via a phone call to the airport hotline, prompted immediate security protocols, including a thorough sweep of the aircraft and terminal.
Authorities are probing the threat’s origin, though it remains unclear if it is directly linked to the overnight military action. The operation targeted nine sites belonging to terror outfits like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba, following the deadly April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.
With Indian airspace on high alert, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is overseeing passenger safety measures. IndiGo confirmed flight disruptions across sensitive border regions, including Srinagar, Jammu, and Leh, citing airspace changes.
As per latest reports, air traffic disruptions rippled across Asia as India's retaliatory strikes in Pakistan and POK led to the shutdown of 18 airports and cancellation of over 200 flights across domestic and international sectors.
