India rebuffs nuclear concerns, denies Trump's trade threat claims in Op Sindoor briefing

In the first official government briefing on Operation Sindoor, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal reiterated India’s long-standing position on Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing the media, Jaiswal asserted that any issues concerning the Union Territory must be resolved bilaterally between India and Pakistan, with no scope for third-party involvement. He added that the only unresolved matter is Pakistan's illegal occupation of Indian territory.

The briefing comes three days after both nations agreed to halt military action following India’s cross-border strikes targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and PoK. While the border remains largely calm, tensions continue to simmer diplomatically. Jaiswal’s remarks reflect India’s consistent diplomatic stance amid heightened international interest in the conflict.
