Indrajit Mandal, Sudip Konar summoned by Bidhannagar Police over Bikash Bhavan protest involvement

On the 15th, Indrajit Mandal and Sudip Konar were summoned to Bidhannagar North Police Station in connection with the Bikash Bhavan movement. Indrajit Mandal arrived at the police station around 10:25 AM to respond to the summons. Both have been called for their presence during the protest held at Bikash Bhavan on the day of the incident.

Cases have been registered against Indrajit Mandal and others under multiple sections related to the movement. These cases pertain to their alleged involvement in activities during the protest. The police have initiated action following complaints linked to the agitation by qualified teachers over job losses.

Indrajit Mandal stated that multiple cases have been filed against the movement to weaken it but asserted that the movement will continue. He said, “No matter how many cases are registered, we will stand with the qualified teachers who are losing their jobs.”
