Kasba rape case: BJP procession stopped in Gariahat before it starts; Sukanta Majumdar arrested
Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday declared that Pakistan stands completely exposed after the success of Operation Sindoor, which he said had unambiguously proved that terrorism in India is state-sponsored by Pakistan. Speaking at the 22nd Border Security Force (BSF) Investiture Ceremony, he praised the strategic precision of India's forces and the political resolve behind the counter-terrorism mission.
Highlighting the restraint and accuracy of India’s military operations, Mr Shah stated that the operation deliberately avoided military or civilian Pakistani infrastructure, focusing solely on terrorist camps responsible for attacks on Indian soil. He emphasized that this clarity of action revealed the direct link between these camps and the Pakistani military, as top army officers were reportedly seen participating in the funerals of the slain terrorist leaders.
Amit Shah credited the operation’s success to a “trinity” of strong political leadership under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, timely intelligence from Indian agencies, and the striking capability of the armed forces. He drew a parallel with India’s evolving response to terrorism post-2014, citing earlier operations following the Uri and Pulwama attacks. Operation Sindoor, launched after the Pahalgam terror strike, destroyed nine terror bases within minutes, including two high-level command centers.
