Ghaziabad man hangs himself after blackmail by girlfriend and her 2 boyfriends; Leaves video, note naming accused

A 28-year-old man named Pawan Kumar was found dead by suicide in the Banthla locality of Loni, Ghaziabad, on Tuesday night. The police said he died by hanging himself inside his room. A video recorded by the deceased and a three-page suicide note were recovered from the scene, which reportedly mention blackmail by his girlfriend and two other individuals.

According to the police, the suicide note was sent to the victim's family before the incident. The family then informed authorities. The note reportedly accuses the girlfriend and her two other male companions of blackmail. The accused individuals are said to be residents of Delhi. The family also claimed that they had taken money and jewellery from Pawan Kumar over a period of time.

In the note, Pawan Kumar named the people he held responsible and referred to Section 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, urging action against one of the accused. He also alleged receiving threats and requested justice. He placed his thumb impression on the note, as mentioned in its contents.

After the video went viral online, the family members reached his room and found his body hanging. Police were informed and arrived at the spot shortly after. The body was taken into custody for post-mortem examination. The forensic team visited the location for further examination.

ACP Loni Siddharth Gautam confirmed that an investigation has been initiated. He said, "No formal complaint has been filed by the family yet. The matter is under investigation, and further steps will be taken based on evidence gathered."
