ISIS India head, Saquib Nachan dies in Delhi hospital after brain haemorrhage
Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated on the international stage as top military leaders from both nations exchanged stern warnings at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore. Indian Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan directly warned of a “new red line” against terrorism while referencing India’s recent Operation Sindoor against Pakistan-based terror groups.
General Chauhan asserted that India’s political and military resolve should serve as a lesson to its adversaries, stating, “We have lost many lives to proxy war, and this is the limit of India’s tolerance.” He emphasized that the operation signified a clear shift in India’s approach, warning against underestimating its response to future provocations.
In response, Pakistan’s top military official General Sahir Shamshad Mirza pushed back, framing Kashmir as the core issue. He urged the global community to shift from conflict management to actual conflict resolution, warning that continued neglect of Kashmir could lead to full-scale war. He claimed the military threshold between the two nations had dangerously lowered, and accused the West of emboldening India’s regional ambitions.
Operation Sindoor, launched by India in retaliation for the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, marked a significant escalation. Pakistan denies involvement, but the military conflict that followed lasted four days and saw India target multiple terror camps inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
