Dilip Ghosh slams Digvijaya and Rahul Gandhi over Op Sindoor remarks, recalls Congress tenure during terror attacks

BJP leader Dilip Ghosh on Tuesday criticised Congress leader Digvijaya Singh over his comments on Operation Sindoor and questioned the actions of past Congress governments during major terror-related incidents. Ghosh raised concerns about the response of former Prime Ministers PV Narasimha Rao and Manmohan Singh during attacks involving Pakistan.

Speaking to reporters, Ghosh said, “What was the reaction of the Congress government when Pakistan attacked and shelled during the tenure of former Prime Ministers PV Narasimha Rao and Manmohan Singh?” He linked this to the current criticism of Operation Sindoor by Congress leaders and questioned their consistency.

Ghosh further alleged that Digvijaya Singh had shown sympathy towards terrorists in the past. He said, “Digvijaya Singh did not meet the family of police officer Mohan Sharma, killed by terrorists. But he met the family of a terrorist and apologised.” Sharma was killed in a counter-terror operation, and Ghosh pointed to this as a moment of national sacrifice ignored by the Congress leader.

He also questioned the credibility of Congress leaders to comment on security operations, asking, “What will those who support terrorists instead of courageous police officers teach us?” Ghosh did not comment on the specifics of Operation Sindoor but focused on the conduct of opposition leaders.

Earlier, Congress MP Rahul Gandhi had also raised objections regarding Operation Sindoor. In a post on social media, Gandhi alleged that India had informed Pakistan in advance about the strike on terrorist camps. He wrote, “Informing Pakistan at the start of our attack was a crime. EAM has publicly admitted that GOI did it. 1. Who authorised it? 2. How many aircraft did our air force lose as a result?”
