Police arrest man in North 24 Pgs, seize 4 pipe guns and multiple ammunition rounds

On the evening of June 2, 2025, at approximately 7:15 PM, police teams from Kamarhati and Khardah police stations conducted a joint raid at the residence of Nayem Ansari on Moulana Selim Road, under Khardaha police jurisdiction. The operation was based on source information received by the police.

During the search, authorities recovered four improvised country-made pipe guns and live ammunition consisting of four rounds of 8mm, five rounds of .38, three rounds of 7.62mm, and one round of .318 nitro ammunition. All items were seized following proper legal procedures, and a case was registered in connection with the recovery.

On the morning of June 3, at around 7:35 AM, Nayem Ansari, son of the late Azimullah Ansari, was arrested at his residence. He is scheduled to be forwarded to the appropriate court. The investigation into the case is currently ongoing.
