A case has emerged in Mahishadal, Medinipur, where Shyuli Dinda Samant is accused of obtaining a ration store dealership by misrepresenting a government residence as the store location. The Block Development Officer (BDO) has ordered an investigation into the matter and stated that if the allegations are proven true, the dealership license will be canceled.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Trinamool Congress MLA of securing the dealership approval through bribery, alleging the practice of ‘cutmanee.’ The BJP has called for strict action if the charges are confirmed. In response, the Trinamool Congress denied these allegations, stating that BJP is attempting to defame the MLA with false accusations.
The BDO’s inquiry is currently underway, and the administration has said the final decision will be based on the investigation’s findings. The authorities have stressed that action will be taken according to the law if any wrongdoing is established.
