A fire broke out on the seventh floor of Shabad Apartment in Delhi’s Dwarka Sector 13 on Tuesday morning. According to the Delhi Fire Service, the control room received a call around 10 AM alerting them to the blaze at the residential complex near MRV School. Eight fire tenders were deployed to the location and firefighting operations were launched immediately.
Visuals from the site showed thick black smoke and flames emerging from the top floor of the building. A DFS official confirmed that two to three people were suspected to be trapped inside at the time of the incident. As of now, there are no confirmed reports of injuries. Firefighters remain engaged in rescue and dousing operations.
Senior fire officials are present at the site. The cause of the fire has not been determined yet. Residents were evacuated from nearby flats as a precaution. Authorities have cordoned off the area to assist in smooth emergency operations. Further updates are awaited.
