A disturbing case has emerged from Ghaziabad's Loni area where a young woman’s body was discovered inside a suitcase dumped near a canal. The suitcase was first reported by a passerby who noticed it lying unattended along the canal road. When police opened it, they found the body of a woman, aged around 25, with visible injury marks on her face and body.
Initial observations suggest the woman may have been married, as she had vermillion on her forehead and wore traditional toe rings. However, she has not yet been identified. The body has been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death, and to determine if she was assaulted before being killed.
A forensic team has begun collecting evidence from the scene, and the police are reviewing CCTV footage from nearby areas to trace the suspect's movements. According to officials, the nature and placement of injuries indicate possible foul play, and investigators suspect this may be a premeditated murder.
This case follows a similar incident in nearby Hapur where a young woman’s body was also found in a suitcase just two weeks earlier, prompting concerns over a disturbing pattern of crimes involving female victims.
