The session of the Legislative Assembly today witnessed a heated debate over the escalating and continuous crisis of Ganga erosion in West Bengal. During the proceedings, Irrigation Minister Manas Ranjan Bhuinya presented a detailed report on the grim situation, concurrently leveling serious allegations against the central government for its alleged failure to address the issue.
Minister Bhuinya emphatically stated that the time has come for all political parties to set aside their differences and prioritize the suffering of millions of Bengal residents grappling with the devastating effects of Ganga erosion. He called for a united front, urging legislators to collectively approach the Central government and raise a strong, unified voice to seek immediate and effective intervention.
