Bengal BJP president Sukanta Majumdar launched a fresh political attack on the Trinamool Congress, alleging that internal conflicts are intensifying within the ruling party. He said that the dispute is not limited to leaders like Mahua Moitra and Kalyan Banerjee, but that fault lines are visible across the party’s leadership.
Taking a direct dig at Trinamool national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee, Majumdar claimed that Abhishek often praises Prime Minister Narendra Modi during international visits. He also alleged that several TMC MPs privately admit that the central government is doing commendable work, indicating ideological divisions and a lack of unity within the party.
Majumdar's comments come at a time when tensions and factionalism within TMC have become a subject of political discussion. The BJP is looking to use this narrative to strengthen its position in Bengal ahead of the upcoming political season.
