Indian Army to test locally made 'shoot and scoot' gun, relocating in 85 seconds
A fire broke out on the ground floor of Marwari Relief Society Hospital in Kolkata on Monday afternoon, reportedly originating from the transformer unit. The incident occurred around 1:30 PM, prompting the immediate deployment of three fire engines and a team from CESE. The blaze was brought under control without any reported injuries. Following the fire, there was a brief period of panic among relatives of patients present at the hospital.
Hospital authorities stated that power supply was disrupted for over an hour due to the fire. Critically ill patients were being prepared for transfer to other hospitals during the outage. The hospital management claimed the fire was not major and was contained swiftly. Efforts were underway to restore the electricity supply as emergency operations continued using backup systems.
