Two separate thefts took place on the night of 6 July in Ward 15 of Bhatpara Municipality, Jagaddal. The first incident occurred in the Golghar area, where unknown miscreants allegedly broke into a house and stole gold and silver jewellery worth several lakhs of rupees. In the second incident, a laptop and a gas cylinder were reportedly stolen from another residence in the same ward.
Following the incidents, Jagaddal Police reviewed CCTV footage from the vicinity of the crime scenes. Based on the footage, the police identified and located three suspects. The arrested individuals have been identified as Bikash Kurmi, Amit Choudhury, and Akash Choudhury. The accused were taken into custody, and police reported recovering the stolen items during the investigation.
Officials stated that the arrests were made promptly after the identification of the accused. Police have initiated further investigation to verify whether the accused are involved in any other related cases. The situation in the area remains under watch as inquiries continue.
