Body massage video inside Kakdwip’s college union room sparks fresh controversy

A video allegedly showing a body massage session inside the union room of Sundarban Mahavidyalaya in Kakdwip, South 24 Parganas, has triggered controversy. In the video, a man is seen lying on the floor with a mattress, bedsheet, and pillow, while another youth appears to be massaging his back. The room in question is claimed to be the union room of the college. Taaza TV does not confirm the authenticity of the video.

The person seen giving the massage has been identified as Debjyoti Pal. He has admitted to the act and stated that the incident took place three years ago. According to Debjyoti, he used to play football on the college grounds and gave the massage after a former student, Kunal Mistry, sustained an injury during a match. He added that it was raining that day, and they moved to the union room for shelter.

Debjyoti confirmed that he is not a student of the college but would often interact with many who studied there. The college has already faced criticism recently over a separate viral wedding video. Following the circulation of the massage footage, the principal of Sundarban Mahavidyalaya has assured that the matter will be investigated.
