A 35-year-old man named Aroj Molla was found hanging in Gadda village under Bharatpur police station limits in Murshidabad district on Monday morning. Police reached the spot after receiving information from local residents and recovered the body. Officers collected multiple samples from the scene and sent the body to the Kandi Sub-Divisional Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination.
According to police, preliminary identification confirmed the deceased as Aroj Molla, a resident of the same village. Locals gathered at the site soon after the incident came to light. Police are examining all physical evidence recovered from the location and are awaiting the post-mortem report for further clarity.
In connection with the incident, Bharatpur police have arrested the deceased’s wife and a son-in-law. Both are currently being interrogated. The investigation is ongoing to determine the exact cause of death and sequence of events.
