An illegal house was demolished on Saturday in Rajarhat Hatiyara under Ward 13 of Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation. The structure belonged to a woman named Arjina Bibi. Officials from the municipal corporation carried out the demolition with assistance from Eco Park police station personnel, who were present during the operation.
According to officials, a notice was served to the property owner in advance, stating that the construction was done without required permissions and was therefore considered unlawful. The notice was pasted on the building the previous Saturday, clearly identifying the structure as unauthorized. Despite the notice, construction reportedly continued over the following days.
Following the continued construction activity, the municipal authorities proceeded with the demolition under relevant building and municipal regulations. No resistance or confrontation was reported during the action. As of now, no public statement has been made by Arjina Bibi or her family regarding the demolition or the prior notice.
