Five newly appointed female police recruits collapsed during a training session at the Malaypur police line in Jamui district, Bihar. The incident occurred when the recruits, undergoing routine training, started falling unconscious one after another. Fellow trainees and personnel immediately transported them to the hospital for urgent medical attention.
The affected recruits have been identified as Shivani Kumari, Roshni Kumari, Priya Kumari, Shilpi Kumari, and another Shivani Kumari. All five had recently joined the Bihar Police and were participating in the initial phase of their training at the district’s police training facility.
According to Dr. Ghanshyam Suman, who is overseeing their treatment, “All five are out of immediate danger, but two of them are still in serious condition. They are currently under ‘wait and watch’ observation.” A medical team is monitoring their condition closely, and necessary treatment is being provided.
The exact cause of the sudden illness remains unknown. Both the health department and police administration have initiated an investigation. Officials are collecting information from the training site and the recruits to determine the sequence of events that led to the incident. The hospital has not released any further details on their recovery timeline.
