PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
Trinamool Congress MLA from Bharatpur, Humayun Kabir, has announced plans to form a new political party after August 15. He stated that the new party would contest in 50–52 assembly constituencies across Murshidabad, Malda, Uttar Dinajpur, and parts of Nadia. Kabir clarified that while he remains a sitting MLA, he is moving ahead with this decision due to dissatisfaction with the functioning of the district leadership.
Humayun Kabir said he has no complaints against Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee or Abhishek Banerjee, but accused the Murshidabad district unit of not following instructions from the central leadership. He alleged that he was being ignored by the local leaders, which led to his decision to float a new political platform. He said, "I want to prove that farming is done with oxen, not goats," referring to the difference in leadership quality and the need to demonstrate public support.
Kabir also said that he believes Trinamool Congress will return to power in the next elections and that Mamata Banerjee will become Chief Minister for the fourth time. However, he said he is forming the new party to convey to the leadership that “people like me may not be needed, but deserving voters are not being respected,” and that his political platform will work to restore respect for them.
