A tragic road accident occurred late last night in the Argori Kadamtala area of Andul Road, Howrah, where two minors lost their lives and another sustained serious injuries. The incident took place when a speeding lorry rammed into a bike carrying three youths from behind.
According to eyewitnesses, the impact of the collision was so severe that the two minors died on the spot. The third youth, who survived the crash, was rushed to a nearby hospital and is currently under treatment. The identities of the deceased are yet to be officially confirmed.
Police arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and have registered a case. The driver of the lorry fled the spot and is currently absconding. Authorities have launched a search operation to locate and arrest the driver responsible for the fatal crash.
Local residents have demanded stricter speed regulation and increased police patrolling in the area to prevent such recurring road tragedies.
