A stampede at the Mansa Devi temple in Haridwar on Sunday morning claimed the lives of at least six devotees and left over 25 others injured. The incident occurred along the narrow stairway route leading up to the hilltop shrine, which was packed with thousands of pilgrims. The heavy rush reportedly turned chaotic, leading to a deadly crush. Garhwal Division Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey confirmed the death toll and said he is personally heading to the site for an on-ground assessment. Authorities are awaiting a detailed report while rescue operations and crowd control measures continue.
