BJP Yuva Morcha workers staged a symbolic protest on Saturday over the condition of roads near the Heart Clinic in Salt Lake. Calling the potholes "death traps," the protestors covered them with white cloth and garlands of white flowers to caution commuters. The demonstration was held to draw attention to the potholes, which the group said could lead to serious accidents.
According to the protesters, the poor condition of the roads poses a direct risk to public safety. "These dangerous potholes can cause fatal accidents at any time," said a Yuva Morcha worker. The group demanded that the concerned authorities repair the roads immediately. “We want quick action so that no mother’s lap becomes empty,” another protester said.
The protest remained peaceful and took place near the main road close to the Heart Clinic. While the activity caused temporary disruption in the area, traffic resumed shortly. As of now, there has been no response from the local administration or municipal authorities regarding the demands raised during the protest.
