Spiritual leader Aniruddhacharya alleges conspiracy to defame Sanatan Dharma amid viral video controversy

Spiritual leader Aniruddhacharya has addressed the controversy surrounding his viral video, claiming that his words were "distorted and taken out of context." In an exclusive conversation, the 'Katha Vachak' stated that only a 30-second clip of his six-minute video was circulated, sparking a major uproar. While acknowledging that his use of the vernacular expression "mukh maarna" may have been inappropriate, he argued that the core message was about promoting good character in both men and women. He alleged that there is a larger conspiracy to defame Sanatan Dharma, pointing out that other respected spiritual leaders are also facing backlash.

Aniruddhacharya defended his comments by questioning the glorification of live-in relationships and stating that his words "hit the right target." He also launched a scathing attack on Bollywood, accusing the film industry of hypocrisy. He referenced a popular dialogue, "Tum karo to Rasleela, hum karein to character dheela," and questioned why the same critics who target him do not object to film stars promoting harmful products like 'pan masala' and 'gutkha'. The spiritual leader claimed he is being targeted for "speaking my truth," while the film industry's actions are largely ignored.

Responding to Akhilesh Yadav's displeasure, Aniruddhacharya said the opposition is not against his words but against Hindu saints themselves. He claimed that respected figures like Premanand Maharaj and Rambhadracharya are not against him and that he is speaking based on scriptures. The controversy has prompted his father to file a police complaint, alleging that an old video has been edited to tarnish his son's image, while a 'mahapanchayat' of saints in Vrindavan has advised him to exercise caution with his words.
