Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari has alleged that political consultancy firm I-PAC is interfering in the administrative functioning of the West Bengal government. On Friday morning, Adhikari posted a screenshot of an email, which he claimed was sent by I-PAC representative Avesh Singh to the Director and Additional Secretary of the state’s Department of Information and Cultural Affairs.
The email allegedly contained drive links to design resources related to the government’s initiative, “Amader Para, Amader Samadhan.” Adhikari claimed that this instance shows a private agency issuing directives to a senior government officer, calling it direct administrative involvement. “How can an employee of a private company give instructions to a WBCS officer who holds a director-level post?” he wrote.
He also alleged that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had previously allowed Bangladeshi Muslim migrants to settle in the state and is now allowing I-PAC to cross administrative boundaries. The email screenshot shared by Adhikari has not been independently verified by Taaza TV. As of now, there has been no response from the state government or I-PAC regarding the allegations.
