Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
An eight-year-old boy has provided a chilling and crucial testimony to the police, revealing that he witnessed his mother and her alleged lover place his father’s body inside a plastic drum. The horrific account led to the arrest of the mother and her partner, shedding light on a complex case of domestic violence and alleged murder. The incident has left the local community in shock.
The investigation began after the body of Hansram, a native of Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh, was discovered on Sunday. His body was found stuffed inside a blue plastic drum on the rooftop of his rented room in Kishangarh Bas. Following the gruesome discovery, police initiated a search for his wife, Sunita, and her alleged partner, Jitendra, who had gone into hiding with the couple's three children.
The body was found after neighbors complained of a foul smell emanating from the rooftop. Upon reaching the scene, police found Hansram’s body with a deep cut on his throat, indicating he had been murdered with a sharp weapon. Investigators also noted that salt had been applied to the body, a method often used to speed up the process of decomposition and conceal the crime.
On Monday, police located the three children along with Sunita and Jitendra at another brick kiln. The 8-year-old son, who witnessed the events, provided a detailed account of the night of the incident. He told police that his parents and Jitendra had been drinking together when a fight broke out. His father began hitting his mother, and Jitendra intervened. After the fight, his mother sent the children to bed.
In a horrifying revelation, the boy recalled waking briefly in the middle of the night to see his father lying motionless on the bed. He also witnessed the disposal of the body the next morning. He told the authorities that his mother and Jitendra emptied a water-filled plastic drum, put his father's body inside, added salt, and then hid the drum on the rooftop where it was later discovered.
