A 30-year-old doctor was found dead under suspicious circumstances near a power house in Uttar Pradesh’s Baghpat district on Saturday. Police identified the deceased as Dr Parvez, a resident of Baraut.
According to officials, the body was discovered lying near the site, after which police rushed to the spot and sent it for post-mortem examination. Superintendent of Police Suraj Kumar Rai said no visible injury marks were found on the body.
While the investigation is underway, the doctor’s family has alleged that he was murdered. Initially, they refused to allow the post-mortem but later agreed after police assured swift action.
Authorities said the cause of death will be determined after the autopsy report, and further proceedings are in progress.
