A youth named Laxman Choudhury, resident of Bansberia Mahakali Tala, has been missing for six days. His family reported that he was taken by his friend Shivnath Sahu to a club at Panchanantala and did not return home that night. After repeated efforts to trace him failed, the family lodged a complaint with Mogra police station.
Following the complaint, police arrested Shivnath Sahu, presented him before Chinsurah court, and secured 10 days of police custody. Police sources stated that during interrogation, Shivnath has been refusing to provide any information regarding Laxman’s disappearance. Authorities are investigating all leads linked to his last known movements.
Today, Mogra police brought a sniffer dog from Barrackpore and carried out a search at the club, Laxman’s residence, and surrounding areas. Simultaneously, the Disaster Management Group (DMG) deployed a speed boat at Panchanantala Ganga ghat to search the river. Search operations by police and DMG are ongoing, and authorities continue efforts to locate the missing youth.
