"No one will be deprived of their voting rights while I am alive," vows Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee addressed several issues, including central agency activity, employment, and cultural concerns. She stated, “There is no part of my body that hasn’t been injured; I have to exercise every day,” highlighting her personal discipline amid administrative responsibilities.

Banerjee spoke about the welfare of workers, noting that 1.5 crore workers from other states live in Bengal. She said, “I have not committed atrocities against anyone,” and claimed that workers from Bengal face maltreatment in other states. She also expressed concern about increased central agency activity as elections approach.

Focusing on employment and economic growth, Mamata said, “The Centre had promised jobs for 2 crore people, but it didn’t happen; instead, I have provided 2 crore jobs in Bengal.” She stated that Bengal ranks first from employment institutions to MSMEs and emphasized that she will ensure no citizen is deprived of voting rights while she is alive.

Banerjee addressed cultural and historical issues, criticizing the dissemination of incorrect information about Bengal’s revolutionaries in other states. She questioned claims against the Bangla language, asking, “If Bangla is not a language, then where did ‘Jan Gan’ come from?” She warned citizens not to provide personal details to strangers and appealed for pride in the Bangla language and unity among people.
