The SSC recruitment scam has once again brought a political family into the spotlight. The latest list of ineligible candidates features the names of Parimal Mandal, husband of Rajarhat Panchayat Samiti’s Deputy Chairperson Mandal, and his sister-in-law Kaberi Mandal.
Parimal Mandal previously held the post of Land Karmadhyaksha in the Rajarhat Panchayat Samiti from 2018 to 2023. He is currently serving as a teacher at Bangur Narayan Das Memorial School. Following the revelation, Mandal expressed shock, saying, “I do not know how my name came in this list. I will soon seek refuge in the court.”
The inclusion of Mandal’s name has stirred political debate in the area, with locals pointing out the growing number of influential figures being linked to the scam. This development has added fresh heat to the ongoing controversy surrounding SSC recruitment irregularities.
