ED raids apartment in Hooghly's Hind Motor over financial irregularities

Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched a raid on an apartment in the Eminent Complex in Hind Motor, Hooghly, as part of an ongoing investigation into financial irregularities. The raid targeted the residence of a person identified as Vikas Lachia, an accountant who reportedly works for a private firm in Kolkata. The operation, conducted with a large team of ED officials and central security personnel, has created a stir among locals.

According to preliminary reports, the ED team arrived at the Eminent Complex's C-Block in three vehicles, comprising five investigating officers and six central security guards. The team entered a flat on the first floor and began a thorough search operation. The target of the raid, Vikas Lachia, is a resident of the apartment. Locals have confirmed that he works for a private company in Kolkata. The ED will be looking into whether his background and the nature of the company he worked for have any connection to cross-state financial rackets.
