"Kolkata to get Water Metro connectivity," says Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari
The Gujarat High Court received a bomb threat on Monday morning, days after similar hoax alerts were reported in the Delhi and Mumbai High Courts. The threat came through an email that claimed RDX was planted in the court premises.
Officials immediately alerted the police, who rushed to the spot along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad and a dog unit. A thorough check was carried out across court buildings, chambers, and vehicles parked inside the premises. Nothing suspicious was found, and the proceedings inside the court continued without interruption.
Inspector K. N. Bhukan of Sola police station said this was the third such hoax threat targeting the Gujarat High Court since June this year. Police are investigating the source of the email and have stepped up security measures around the court.
Authorities confirmed that while the threat was false, additional vigilance will remain in place to prevent disruption and ensure safety
