'No hawker eviction this month', orders Calcutta HC in Raliway land encroachment case
Mother Dairy has announced a price cut across its milk, dairy products, and packaged food items, passing on the benefits of the recent GST reduction to consumers. The revised rates will come into effect from 22 September 2025, with products like milk, paneer, butter, ghee and even Safal frozen snacks and beverages becoming cheaper.
The company said one-litre ultra high-temperature milk will now cost ₹75 instead of ₹77, while 200 grams of paneer has been reduced to ₹92 from ₹95. Butter (100 gm) will cost ₹58, down from ₹62, and one litre of cow ghee will be ₹720 instead of ₹750. Packaged milkshakes, ice creams, and several Safal products, including frozen french fries, aloo tikki, nuggets, jams, pickles and coconut water, have also seen price cuts of ₹5 to ₹30.
According to the company, its entire portfolio of dairy and processed food offerings now attracts either 5% GST or none at all. Managing director Manish Bandlish said the move would “boost consumption and accelerate the adoption of safe, high-quality packaged offerings,” adding that Mother Dairy is passing on 100% of the benefit directly to consumers.
