CM Hemant Soren distributes appointment letters to newly appointed teachers

Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Tuesday distributed appointment letters to a new batch of graduate and inter-trained assistant teachers in Godda district. The ceremony, held at the Project Bhawan auditorium, marked a new chapter for 301 newly appointed teachers, who are set to take on the responsibility of shaping the future of the state's children. This initiative is a part of the government's broader commitment to improving the quality of education and providing employment opportunities for the youth.

The event, which began with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the Chief Minister, was a celebration of this new recruitment drive. The Chief Minister and other dignitaries were honored with the presentation of saplings, symbolizing the growth and nurturing of talent. This recruitment drive is seen as a crucial step towards addressing the long-standing teacher shortage in the state.

During the ceremony, 131 graduate-trained assistant teachers for Mathematics and Science received their appointment letters. Five of these teachers—Seema Kumari, Sabana Khatoon, Usha Sushma, Akhilesh Mahato, and Rishikesh Manjhi—were symbolically handed their letters by the Chief Minister. Additionally, 170 inter-trained assistant teachers for classes 1 to 5 were also given their letters, with Rajesh Kumar Yadav, Gyan Mohan Ranjan, Chalsi Paswan, Alphonsa Marandi, and Sarita representing the group.

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Hemant Soren underscored his government's continuous efforts to revolutionize the state's education system. He stated that the recruitment program is a testament to the government’s commitment to providing a "bright future" for Jharkhand's youth and connecting them with the state's development. He further revealed that the government has already initiated the recruitment process for a staggering 26,000 posts, which will be a major boost to employment.

The Chief Minister also emphasized the importance of intellectual and cultural development in children, highlighting the government’s plans to integrate AI technology and digital teachers into the education system. He challenged the perception of Jharkhand as merely a "labourer state," urging everyone to work together to change this mindset and secure a better future for the next generation. He promised that the event was just the beginning and that the auditorium would soon witness more such appointments.

The ceremony also saw the launch of Project-Based Learning (PBL), a new initiative aimed at making education more practical and engaging. The Chief Minister called upon the newly appointed teachers to perform their duties with utmost dedication and promised that new policies would be implemented to ensure excellent education standards. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by State Project Director Shahi Ranjan.
