Court sends Councilor Mahesh Sharma to 6-day police custody in extortion case
Ahead of the grand Deepotsav celebrations in Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh health department has announced the setup of 15 temporary hospitals to ensure the health and safety of devotees and tourists. The arrangements include round-the-clock ambulance services at 10 key locations, including Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Complex, Hanumangarhi, Kanak Bhavan Temple, and Ayodhya Dham Railway Station.
Ayodhya’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Sushil Kumar Baniyan, said that complete vigilance will be maintained during the festival, with all hospitals equipped with essential medicines, paramedical staff, and specialist doctors. Additionally, 50 beds have been reserved across three major hospitals — 20 each at Rajarshi Dashrath Medical College and District Hospital Ayodhya, and 10 at Shri Ram Hospital.
To further bolster medical readiness, specialist doctor teams from Amethi, Ambedkarnagar, Barabanki, and Sultanpur will be stationed across the city during the celebrations. Nearly 28 lakh lamps will illuminate 56 ghats along the Saryu river this year as Ayodhya gears up for its ninth edition of Deepotsav.
