A shocking murder in Howrah’s Shibpur area unfolded when a man killed his wife’s lover in front of his own son before surrendering to the police. The accused, identified as Bikash Chaudhary, lived on the fourth floor of an apartment in Ganesh Majhi Lane. He later walked into the Shibpur police station and confessed to the crime.
According to police, Bikash’s wife was allegedly in an illicit relationship with his close friend, Ravi Srivastava. A few days ago, she had eloped with Ravi but returned home later. Despite coming back, she refused to live with Bikash, which reportedly strained relations further.
An argument broke out between the two men, which quickly escalated into violence. In a fit of rage, Bikash attacked Ravi, killing him on the spot while his young son witnessed the horrifying act.
After the murder, Bikash went straight to the police station and surrendered. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and police are investigating the full sequence of events leading up to the crime.
