OpenAI to offer free one-year ChatGPT Go access for Indian users from November 4

OpenAI has announced that it will provide free one-year access to ChatGPT Go for users in India starting November 4. The offer will be available for a limited-time promotional period, allowing both new and existing subscribers in India to enjoy the benefits of the AI tool at no cost for 12 months.

The announcement coincides with OpenAI’s first-ever DevDay Exchange event in Bengaluru on November 4. The company stated that the move reinforces its “India-first” commitment and aligns with the IndiaAI Mission, reflecting the nation’s rapidly growing engagement with artificial intelligence technologies.

ChatGPT Go, launched in India in August, is a subscription tier offering higher message limits, image generation, and file upload capabilities. Following strong demand, OpenAI expanded the service to nearly 90 global markets. India remains ChatGPT’s second-largest and fastest-growing market, with millions of developers, students, and professionals using it daily.
