Suvendu hints at President’s rule if government not formed by May 5| Watch

As the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list began in Bengal on Wednesday, political tension deepened with Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari once again hinting at the possibility of President’s rule in the state. Adhikari claimed that if a new government is not formed by May 5, President’s rule will be imposed, reigniting debate over the state’s political future.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission clarified that assembly elections will only be held after the completion of the voter list revision. Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, addressing a press conference on Monday, reaffirmed that the poll process will proceed only once the final electoral rolls are ready, dismissing any speculation of an early election announcement.
