PM will offer Anjali to Maa Durga this Ashtami in Kolkata, receives multiple invitations
The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) campus has decisively reaffirmed its long-standing political identity, as the Left United alliance swept the 2025 JNU Students' Union (JNUSU) elections, securing all four key posts on the central panel.
Aditi Mishra led the victory charge, winning the coveted post of President. She was joined by the victorious Left United candidates: K. Gopika, who clinched the Vice President seat by a massive margin; Sunil Yadav, who won the highly contested post of General Secretary; and Danish, who was elected as the Joint Secretary.
The vote-counting process itself was not entirely without incident. A moment of tension was reported near the counting area when a minor scuffle broke out between some members of the Left United alliance. The situation, however, was quickly contained and the campus remained normal throughout the declaration of results.
