PM Modi hoists saffron flag on Ayodhya marks completion of Ram Mandir construction

In a moment steeped in devotion and national pride, Prime Minister Narendra Modi hoisted the majestic saffron flag today atop the completed consttucted Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, symbolizing the triumphant end of a decades-long dream for millions of devotees. The 10-foot-high, 20-foot-long triangular Dharma Dhwaj flag, adorned with a radiant sun for Lord Ram's valour, the sacred 'Om', and the Kovidara tree, fluttered proudly over the temple during the 'Dhwaj Arohan' ceremony on the auspicious Vivah Panchami today. More than thousands of pilgrims, seers, and locals filled the air with resounding "Jai Shri Ram" chants turning Ayodhya into a sea as the event unfolded under tight security with over 6,900 personnel, including NSG snipers and anti-drone systems, ensuring a peaceful and secured spectacle.

PM Modi addresses the massive gathering, calling the flag-hoisting a "tipping point in India's cultural consciousness" and a unique celebration of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple's pinnacle. "Ramchandra ki Jai," he proclaimed, linking the moment to the timeless ideals of Ram Rajya and the sacrifices of saints, warriors, and devotees who fueled the movement. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath echoed the sentiment, hailing the temple as a beacon of faith and self-respect for 140 crore Indians, while RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Governor Anandiben Patel joined in this historic ceremony

The temple's intricate carvings – 87 stone episodes from the Valmiki Ramayana on outer walls and 79 bronze depictions of Indian culture along the enclosure – stood as a testament to the blend of heritage and modern devotion. This ceremony not only caps the temple's construction but ignites a vision of "New India," where development dances hand-in-hand with cultural roots, as Yogi Adityanath put it. Devotees described it as an ethereal fulfilment, with the saffron banner waving as a promise of justice, truth, and national unity. As Ayodhya basks in the glow of this milestone, it reaffirms the site's role as a spiritual heartbeat, drawing eyes to the harmony of faith and progress.
