Bengal Govt elevates IPS Ajay Mukund Ranade to DGP (Law and Order)
A tragic and deeply disturbing incident occurred in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district, where the bodies of a man and his three minor daughters were found hanging inside their house on Monday. The deceased have been identified as Amarnath Ram, along with his daughters, Radha Kumari, Radhika, and Shivani, all reported to be in the age group of 9-12 years. The incident took place late on Sunday evening at Navalpur Mishraulia village under the jurisdiction of Sakra police station, sending shockwaves through the local community.
According to the accounts provided by villagers to the police, the incident is being treated as a case of mass suicide where Amarnath Ram allegedly hanged his three young daughters before taking his own life. However, two sons of Ram were reportedly able to save themselves from the tragedy and were the ones who informed the villagers about the heartbreaking event. The police have launched a detailed investigation to ascertain the exact sequence of events and the immediate cause of death.
Locals pointed to extreme distress as the probable motive behind the drastic step. They informed the police that Amarnath Ram had been under extreme financial stress and was struggling severely to manage family affairs, especially since the death of his wife. This immense pressure is believed to have driven him to commit what the community is calling a mass suicide involving his daughters. The police have registered a case and the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.
