The cold has intensified across West Bengal in the final days of the year, with chilly northerly winds making mornings and nights noticeably colder. As people gear up for New Year celebrations, the weather continues to remain a key concern across the state.
According to the Alipore Meteorological Department, the current cold conditions are likely to persist for the next couple of days. While the chill will continue to be felt till Tuesday, a gradual change in weather patterns is expected from the middle of the week.
In Kolkata, temperatures have shown slight fluctuations. After hovering around 12 degrees Celsius for two consecutive days, the city’s minimum temperature has risen marginally to around 13 degrees Celsius. On Monday, the minimum temperature was recorded at approximately 13.5 degrees Celsius.
