A New Year’s picnic turned into a frightening ordeal after a tourist vehicle lost control and fell into a roadside ravine while heading towards Bakkhali. The accident occurred on Thursday morning when a group of tourists from the Sangrampur area of South 24 Parganas had set out for a picnic.
According to local sources, the vehicle suddenly skidded off the road and plunged into the ravine. Hearing the commotion, local residents rushed to the spot and began rescue operations. With their help, the injured tourists were pulled out from the vehicle and taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Upon receiving information, police reached the accident site and initiated the process of retrieving the vehicle from the ravine. Several tourists are reported to have been injured in the mishap, while further details about their condition are awaited.
