Muzaffarpur hospital blaze kills 3 patients, leaves 20 injured
A chaotic New Year celebration disrupted traffic on a Noida highway on the night of December 31 after six youths allegedly in an inebriated state climbed onto the roof of a car and began dancing, blocking the road. The incident caused a long traffic jam and alarmed commuters who were stuck for a prolonged period.
A video recorded by people caught in the jam later went viral, showing the youths dancing to a song from the film Dhurandhar. Some of them were seen standing on the roof of the moving Alto car, while others attempted to climb out through the windows. At least three youths removed their shirts, further escalating the disturbance on the busy road.
The footage also showed one of the men stepping down onto the road and pushing the car sideways, even as traffic remained halted. Despite visible police presence in the area, the group continued their actions, prompting widespread criticism after the clip circulated online.
Following the viral video, the matter was taken up by the traffic authorities, who identified multiple violations of traffic rules. An e-challan amounting to ₹67,000 was issued against the vehicle for dangerous driving and obstruction of traffic.
