A bus in Howrah collided with another moving bus from behind on National Highway 16 near Pakuria Bridge, leaving 7–8 people injured. Two of the victims are in serious condition and have been rushed to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Police are examining CCTV footage to determine the exact cause of the accident. Locals reported that one bus was traveling ahead when another bus, coming at high speed, struck it from behind. The impact caused more damage to the rear bus than the front vehicle.
Witnesses suggested that the driver of the second bus may have been distracted, possibly using a mobile phone, or under the influence of alcohol. Authorities are investigating the incident to hold the responsible parties accountable and ensure road safety.
