A violent confrontation broke out at the residence of Trinamool party leader Adud Molla in North Kashipur after district council member Hakimul Islam and SC/ST cell president Pradeep Mandal visited to meet him. The incident follows a previous attack yesterday when local Trinamool workers verbally abused Adud Molla while he was going to meet district president Subhasish Chakraborty.
Following the morning visit, close Trinamool leaders of Shaukat Molla gathered outside Adud Molla’s home, hurling abuses at Hakimul Islam and Pradeep Mandal. Police from Uttar Kashipur station arrived to control the situation, leading to a scuffle between law enforcement and the gathered leaders. Tensions escalated as authorities tried to remove Hakimul and Pradeep from the premises.
The incident reportedly resulted in attacks on Hakimul Islam’s car, and Pradeep Mandal was allegedly beaten by the police during the chaos. Authorities are investigating the clashes, while local party sources warned of rising tensions between rival Trinamool factions in the district.
