Kolkata Metro’s Blue Line services were briefly disrupted on Monday morning after a technical fault was detected in an empty rake, causing inconvenience to commuters during peak office hours. The disruption occurred at the start of the first busy working day of the week, affecting smooth operations on the corridor.
According to officials, metro services between Tollygunge and Shahid Khudiram were impacted for a short period due to the glitch. Metro staff acted swiftly to address the issue, and normal services were restored soon after corrective measures were taken.
Despite the quick response, the disruption led to overcrowding on platforms, with hundreds of passengers facing delays. Many commuters failed to reach their destinations on time, triggering visible frustration among passengers over recurring technical issues on the line.
